1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using DateRoot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. DateRoot operates internationally with infrastructure within the European Union. If you do not accept and agree to be bound by all of the terms of this Agreement, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Mandatory Age Verification

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on DateRoot and use the Service.

DateRoot strictly enforces age restrictions. By checking the "I am 18+" box during registration and creating an account, you legally certify, represent, and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
  • You understand that providing false information regarding your age is a violation of these terms and may result in immediate account termination.
  • You have not been previously removed from our Service by us for unsafe behavior.
  • Child Protection: DateRoot strictly prohibits minors. If we suspect an account belongs to someone under 18, it will be permanently deleted without notice.
3. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. DateRoot prioritizes user privacy and follows rigorous data protection standards aligned with EU regulations. However, you are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Video Chat Conduct & Safety

DateRoot provides 1-on-1 Video Chat features for Premium users. By using this feature, you agree to the following strict guidelines:

  • NO NUDITY OR SEXUAL ACTS: Broadcasting nudity, sexual acts, or sexually explicit behavior on video calls is strictly prohibited. Violators will be banned immediately without refund.
  • Consent & Privacy: You may not record, screenshot, or stream video calls without the express consent of the other participant.
  • Safety: Do not share financial information, addresses, or sensitive personal data during video calls. DateRoot is not responsible for information you voluntarily disclose on video.
  • Harassment: Using video chat to intimidate, harass, or verbally abuse another member is grounds for permanent suspension.
5. Prohibited Content (Zero Tolerance)

DateRoot is designed to be a safe community. We have a Zero Tolerance Policy. You agree not to:

  • Upload or share (via chat, video, or profile) any pornography, sexually explicit content, nudity, or graphic violence.
  • Use the Service for illegal purposes or prostitution/escort services.
  • Spam, solicit money from, or defraud any members.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Bully, stalk, intimidate, assault, or defame any person.
  • Post content promoting racism, bigotry, hatred, or physical harm against any group or individual.
6. Purchases, Refunds, and Service Availability

ALL PURCHASES ARE FINAL.

Digital Content Waiver: By purchasing subscriptions, video access and starting to use them, you waive any right of withdrawal once performance has begun.

Satisfaction Disclaimer: We do not guarantee matches or dates. We do not provide refunds based on user dissatisfaction, lack of success, or accidental purchases.

We do not provide refunds for service outages, maintenance, or technical errors.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DATEROOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO DATEROOT IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and defined following the laws of the European Union and applicable international regulations. You irrevocably consent that the courts of competent jurisdiction within Europe shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute which may arise in connection with these terms.
